When I use Curves or Levels -> new layer -> apply a gradient (RGB), select the standard cursor and/or select another layer and want to return to modify the gradient, the gradient line with the handles is gone.
We already had the same behavior some time ago. Seems to be the same bug.

Re: Problem with 24.40.b3
I can confirm this behaviour. It seems to occur after switching between the layer tool and selecting other layers - usually after two times, or so.
Unclear why/how that happens exactly.

Re: Problem with 24.40.b3
Gradient handles visible only if use Gradient tool. Gradient handles invisible if use Layer tool or any other tools in toolbox. Seems like logical.Herbert123 hat geschrieben: ↑Di 05 Sep 2023 23:26 I can confirm this behaviour. Gradient handles disappear permanently if Transparency turned on/off in Layer Attributes. I guess this is normal because gradient handles disappear if raster layer was modified.

Re: Problem with 24.40.b3
Version 24.00 and lower did NOT show this behavior, so it must be a bug in version 24.40.b3.

Re: Problem with 24.40.b3
Just checked again: I was wrong, even version 24.00 shows this abnormal behavior. You can modify the gradients once, but as soon as you select another layer and switch back to the gradient tool, the gradient line with handles is no longer available. This means that the gradient tool is destructive, because when I save an image with all layers as a *.PLD and reopen it later, I can't modify the gradient anymore and have to start over.
Sorry to say, but this doesn't make sense at all.

Re: Problem with 24.40.b3
With Windows V24, if you want to edit the grading, you have to select the "Edit vector points" tool.
Then the handles will show.

Re: Problem with 24.40.b3
There is no vector editing tool (the arrow), because there is no vector. It is only the adjustment layer with a grey gradient. So how can I select the vector tool without having a vector line?

Re: Problem with 24.40.b3
I can't reproduce that. I tried ist with a Curves adjustment layer and a simple black to white gradient.der_fotograf hat geschrieben: ↑Di 05 Sep 2023 20:43 When I use Curves or Levels -> new layer -> apply a gradient (RGB), select the standard cursor and/or select another layer and want to return to modify the gradient, the gradient line with the handles is gone.
If I remember correctly, it was due to some kind of transparency:der_fotograf hat geschrieben: ↑Di 05 Sep 2023 20:43 We already had the same behavior some time ago. Seems to be the same bug.
- The tool intensity must be 100%.
- Every gradient color must be completely opaque.
- The gradient must be applied to all channels.
- The blend mode must be "Normal"

Re: Problem with 24.40.b3
OK, thank you for the information, I will check it next week.
