I like the small changes to the GUI. The panel title bars look better without that gradient. It is also easier to visually understand which tab is active now. That gradient was quite distracting, and served no real purpose. And thank you for removing the double border around flee-floating panels. It just looks way better.
It's less distracting to my eyes now.
The only concern is that the panels title bar colour lacks visual contrast in the lighter GUI versions.
Really nice seeing the title bars without gradient, looks great .
There are couple of suggestions to tidy up the UI, not biggies (I hope so )
1- I noticed a white border on the top of the popup menus? (Not sure about the right terminology)
Personally I like more Option B. Is it possible?

2- On the Dropdown menu button, would it be possible to get rid of the gradient as well?

3- The Dropdown menu of Blending modes has a weird blue border, meanwhile the other dropdown menu has a normal grey border. Is it possible to unify all of them to the same grey?

4- Is it possible to have the same scroll bars to the canvas?

5- Small UI problem

6- Here you can see the same blue border, plus the word Vector Pattern doesn't have right margin.
Is it possible to have the same margin in both sides? I'm aware that the Dropdown menu has to be a little bit wider, but it would look much better.

Hi all,

I agree, it is amazing how much this one small change improves the overall look. Much less visual noise, and the title bars always looked 'broken' due to the gradient being broken off and the unintended visual effect near the edges.
One other GUI related suggestion: in dark mode the white text becomes TOO bright at some point. It would be great if a separate brightness slider to control the white (brightest) colours is added to tone down that too strong white. It literally hurts to look at when working with a very dark (the default) GUI setting.
In particular with LCD screens having such huge contrast/brightness range nowadays. The white is too strong, and leaves afterimages on my retinas.

I suggested this a while ago. In particular in the multi-document window mode the default Window chrome is quite jarring.
I am very happy, though, that the scroll bar can now be hidden. I never use it anyway, and it just takes up precious space. I wonder if anyone still scrolls the viewport with those scroll bars? Middle mouse button, space, etc. : much more effective and direct.

1) select a layer
2) Tool-->Color-->Reduce Color
3) choose 16 colours, second tab Palette: LOADED. Then delete all colours (click to select, then hit delete key 16 times)
4) File-->Load Amstrad colour palette pal file which is attached to this post
5) Crash!
Also, the colours from the pal file will not load.

This is not a bug introduced in the Beta, but something that if there long time. It looks like height of Windows version document tab bar is hard-coded, so on HiDPI display it looks condensed and odd. Please make it grow with DPI settings.

You can scale it, it looks like this here in HiDPI:

Just noticed the snapping of the bottom panel controls in docked mode when folding and unfolding panels.
AWESOME! That alone saves a lot of unnecessary dragging and clicking!
It's not working yet when the divider between two vertical set panels is moved up and down, though. The controls will disappear off the bottom of the screen in this case.
I am also hoping that folding/unfolding will work consistently by clicking the tabs. Only unfolding works currently, but folding a panel must be achieved by clicking the bar. And with four or more tabs grouped this can be hard to achieve, because almost no title bar area may be left to do so.
