Quality of RAW import

Beitrag von JulianZI »

Photoline opens RAWs quickly and it is a blessing that the RAWs do not have to be embedded.

But initially the images look so dull. If the default Histogramm correction would be a bit more aggressive the result would be usable.
Or, better, if the default curve would be a slight S curve instead of neutral.

Since 22.40B6 PhotoLine adds a curves adjustment that simulates the contrast of the embedded preview. IMO that works very well.

Doesn't that work with your pictures?

I installed the latest version now, yes, that's much much better. (Nikon Z6)

BTW., you can (in Preferences → File → RAW), you can specify an action to be run during raw import. I use that action to set some defaults (contrast curve, denoising, sharpening).

Cheers
