- When making a picture catalog (thanks for adding the placeholder option!), creating it with preview and original images are reversed. So, selecting 'Original' takes the preview image and 'Preview' takes the original image.

Yes, that is a macOS-only problem. I will fix that.

- When I create a placeholder layer, clicking on 'Fix' lets PL crash. Converting a placeholder layer from e.g. a vector shape, I can fix the layer.

Are you still taliking about placeholders created by the picture catalog function? I can't reproduce that here.
